Bulldozer is a new concert series

for noise music in Bergen.

“[...] music opens up and transforms us, making of both our bodies and of the earth a new site of becomings toward a differently contained and directed chaos, to the opening up and exploration of chaotic elements.”

E. Grosz (56, 2008)

Noise is a form of art that is inherently critical of existing structures, whether musical or socio-political: The status quo provides the signal that noise disrupts. Through this subversion, noise music always points to the alternative, questioning existing hierarchies and twisting societal structures that are otherwise taken for granted. Noise works as an emancipating mechanism, empowering progressive forces of change and giving voice to the ignored. Our concerts become spaces where nothing is taken for granted, as conventions are left behind in favor of: a confrontation with the unknown, a celebration of the unexpected, and a newly discovered beauty within the unforeseen.
